Remi Goes to Boot Camp
I’ve been in training for my next mission for a month now.
I haven’t been told what the mission is, but I am taken out to train every day. Sometimes even twice a day! It must be a very important mission. I’m thinking I’ll be working incognito at a circus. Training started out with a kiss. My captors made me kiss them smack on the lips before they allowed me to have the coveted “Birdie Millet”. Now I can tell you this is the caviar of the bird world. Kiss after kiss after kiss. It was a grueling workout, but worth the rewards. Day after day I wondered why I was put through such torture.
Then my training advanced. I was made to do 360 degree circles on command. Circle after circle, day after day after day. My head is still spinning. It must be a very dangerous mission. This could come in handy though, if I come beak to nose with “Cookie” the dreaded bird herder. My circles might make her think I am just a drunken bird after a flight out on the town, instead of the Spy Bird that I am. Or maybe she will get dizzy just watching me and I can make my escape. Hmmmm. Maybe all this training will come in handy.
After a tough training session I am allowed a visit with my sister Deva. She shares a bunk with Mare B. They are such good lookin’ birdies, and sweet too. Then it’s back to the compound, because after all that training, I barely have the energy to work on my escape. Could that be their master plan?
