Remi Goes to College

Well, the other day I went to college. I’m not sure why I needed to go. It all seems suspicious to me now. I met a lot of humans there. Jeane, Melinda, Kevin, Mike & Tim just to name a few. They all had to hold me of course. Make me do tricks. To see how well I work under pressure I guess. They certainly didn’t think I was going to learn how to talk just because this was a college did they? I will never talk. They can’t make me.

We spent a lot of the day in the electrical department. That’s where my human spends most of her time. Wires. Lots of wires. Wires in transformers, wires in boxes, wires in panels. Wires in pipes, wires on the wall. Wires hanging from a thing-a-ma-bob and sticking out of a thing-a-ma-jig. The whole class must be about wires. Now that’s something a bird can appreciate while sitting on a wire.

These wires seem to make things light and buzz, turn and beep. Very interesting yet very scary at the same time. I got quite a charge out of sitting on all the pretty colored wires. Maybe I’m here to learn how to wire something up for a covert operation. It’s amazing all the things I could learn if I perched here for a while. A bird involved in espionage needs to know about a lot of things. What better place than college. I could like it here.

But time flies when you’re having fun and I’m told it’s time to leave. They didn’t make me talk though. They will never make this bird talk.
